Omnibus experimentalist, focal-point dancer,
decorated Cancerian, fabled drunk driver, verbose grandstander,
innocent bystander, unseen puppetmaster, monomaniacal sea captain, loafer of
no small renown- there are few courses in this feast we call life upon which
CRAIG CASEY hasn’t supped. Born heir apparent to the Duchy of Atreides in 1785, Casey
relinquished his regal legacy to walk (quite aimlessly and with a slight
limp) among rank-and-file mortals. His ascendancy to the archbishopric of
Elderbury in 1637 was met with such revolt that he was forced into exile in
an ancient Balkan castle, where the seeds of the legendary Grave Digger
Uppers movement were first sown. Widely regarded as the finest music ever
produced on Earth (with the possible exception of the haunting calls of the
gray whale), Casey’s treasured home recordings have been newly re-animated
with the skills of four living musicians, gifted adherents of the modernist
school and unrepentant mausoleum admirers. Catch them around New York City
as they breathe life into these sacred auditory documents of the remarkable
lifestyles of the undead.
